Reaching Families is a parent-carer led, grassroots charity which aims to support parents and families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in their daily lives, in particular through the delivery of information, training and peer support.

 Reaching Families

We offer full-time, term-based provision, either in-person at Centres or at Red Balloon of the Air, which offers a hybrid of online and face-to-face support (up to 15 hours per week).

Our approach puts wellbeing at the core of our students’ education experience, with a strong emphasis on mental health, personal development and positive social interaction alongside academic teaching.

We’re a clinician-led company that believes Autism and ADHD assessments should always be carried out in-person and to a high standard.

The Autism Service

At Aspens we provide high quality care and support to people on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities; and their families; meeting their needs and aspirations and empowering them to learn and grow through an integrated network of services across the South-East.

We help families in Sussex to overcome their difficulties and prevent crisis. We support families struggling with issues such as poverty, ill health, learning difficulties, bereavement, family break-up and domestic abuse.

Family Support Work

WSPCF is an independent charity for the parent carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

We support parent carers by providing information, signposting, and training that equips them in their lifelong caring role and empowers them to participate in shaping services for their children and young people.

These bitesize videos have been produced by West Sussex Educational Psychology (EP) Service to inform and support the practice of adults working with children and young people in educational settings.

They are designed to provide the key information and practical strategies necessary to effectively support the young people you are working with. These webinars may be of particular use if you have attended a consultation or received advice from an EP in supporting you or the staff at your setting in implementing EP recommendations.
